From a series of paintings that begins with the premise of the ‘target’ painting and their cosy gestalt. Responding to our fractious times, I disrupt that cosiness by breaking those comforting concentric rings. Dynamic tensions derive from discontinuities, offsets and juxtapositions separated over multiple surfaces of the base canvas.
